The executives who are this year’s Eurostars have stood out from their rivals by exceeding expectations in an especially challenging environment for the automotive industry.

Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares, who helped to engineer the 2021 merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles to create the new group, stayed on course despite a range of industrywide crises, including the continuing effects of the pandemic, the semiconductor shortage and the conflict in Ukraine. In March, Stellantis released its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, setting up a bold vision of an international, sustainable and profitable mobility tech company. Under Tavares' guidance Stellantis notched industry-leading profits, even as he and his team worked to integrate production and development facilities around the world, plan for the transition to electrification and invest in future technologies such as self-driving cars.

The other 14 Eurostars chosen by the editors of Automotive News Europe have achieved equally impressive results during a tumultuous 2022.

Automotive News Europe and Capgemini Invent are proud to honor the 2022 winners.
