Rebecca Reinermann, a Fiat/Abarth executive, has been named head of marketing at Opel/Vauxhall. She succeeds Patrick Fourniol, who becomes head of brand marketing communications for Stellantis in Europe.
Reinerman starts in her new position Jan. 1, reporting to Opel/Vauxhall brand CEO Florian Huettl. She is currently area operations manager for Fiat and Abarth in Germany, Austria and Poland, a post she has held since May 2021.
Reinermann has more than 15 years’ experience in the automotive industry, with positions at Toyota, Hyundai and Fiat Chrysler in brand and product development, communications and customer experience, Stellantis said in a news release Thursday.
Fourniol has been in his post since April 2020. He had previously held management positions at Toyota, Renault and Volkswagen Group.
Opel/Vauxhall's registrations in Europe fell 12 percent to 394,938 through November, according to industry association ACEA. Its market share was 3.9 percent.
