Mercedes-Benz has added new infotainment features to its latest E-Class that can turn the car into a mobile work and entertainment space.
The automaker said the infotainment program in its key large premium sedan "is more interactive than ever." Software engineers developed a new compatibility layer for the system that allows the installation of third-party apps, Mercedes said.
The upgraded MBUX operating system integrates with the Android operating system and allows the installation of third-party apps such as TikTok, Zoom and Webex. The optional selfie and video camera on the dashboard can also be used for conference calls.
Games such as Angry Birds are also installed, and the speech recognition system has been further refined. This means that several commands can now be given at once.
