When creating the Volvo EX90, Volvo Head of Global Design and UX Robin Page and his team wanted to create a model with smooth, clean, modern Scandinavian styling.
The first born-electric model from the Swedish automaker, which is a crucial part of the brand's battery-driven future, has a number of unique design features.
One of them is a so-called moving front light, which Page says gives the seven-seat SUV is own expression. Something that is important in a car that will cost more than 100,000 euros for top-of-the-range versions.
"There always has to be four or five things people want to tell their friends about, and this is one of them," Page told Automotive News Europe in a live interview on LinkedIn.
He also talked how Volvo designer overcame the challenge of weaving the EX90's lidar system into the premium SUV's roofline.
